I've been thinking about doing this for a while. I've been doing artwork under the toxiclight name for a while, and kept thinking that maybe I should get a new deviantArt account to reflect this. served me well for a long time, but that doesn't really identify with who I am or who my art is. I had no artistic identity then...I still don't really, because that identity is constantly evolving.

The origins of the name toxiclight comes from characters that Dave and I created together on City of Heros. His character was Toxic Delight, mine was Bella Luce (beautiful light). When I desperately wanted to update my website and URL to something that was more me, that was the combination that stuck. And it was available (I can't remember my actual first choice...this was the first one that was available that I liked a lot). My actual website is subtitled "The Poison Within," and it fits. My thoughts on the creative process: when I get an idea it burns inside like a fire or a poison. I like poison better because it eats you alive from the inside out unless you give expression to it. And what emerges from you is the light of an idea taking shape. Okay, what ends up on the page isn't always what I envisioned inside, but at least it usually drains the poison.

Okay, it's early, and my brains not up to explaining WHY the name works for me. It does. And I finally got off my butt and checked to see if I could get the name here. Happy Day!! I could

$50 for single-figure, full-color image, paint-style sample
$60 for single-figure, full-color image, paint-style, simple or rendered background sample

Please add $10 per additional character on sketches, $15 per additional character for color.

Prices have been restructured slightly to note the amount of work that goes into some of the images.

Please look at my gallery for examples of my work. I do primarily pin-up style pictures. Soft-core okay. Hard-core okay. Note that most of the images are women. (not that I don't draw men, but they are not my forte).

Prints will be made available on most items through deviantArt.
